   Charlie has been a leader in the design, development and marketing of high-performance systems, storage and peripheral technology for over twenty years.
   
   Charlie is currently VP of Engineering and Manufacturing for Scientific Games International, a leader in services, systems and products to the lottery and pari-mutuel wagering industries worldwide. Charlie is leading the group in the development of the next generation of point-of-sale lottery and betting terminals
   
   Previously, Charlie was Director of Operations at Zebra Technologies where he led the integration of the Atlantek operation into Zebra's Card Printer Solutions group while maintaining their leadership in Driver's License, Photo ID and dye sublimation photo printer technology. Under Charlie's leadership, the organization developed 2 photo printers and released the P640i Card Printer as well as transitioned the entire product line to RoHS compliance. He also led the integration of Swecoin, a leading supplier of embedded printers for kiosk applications.
   
   Prior to moving to the printer industry, Charlie served as VP of Engineering at RING Technology Enterprises, where he was leading the design and development of an innovative, high-performance storage subsystem. He also was Vice President of Storage Systems and Software and VP and Manager of Quantum's Solid State Business Unit at Quantum Corporation. Under Charlie's leadership, the business unit designed and qualified 3 generations of solid state disk products at five top system manufacturers.
   
   At Quantum, Charlie also participated in an innovative strategic planning project that led to Quantum's entry into the consumer electronics space and it's acquisition of ATL Products and Meridian Data, transforming the company from a storage device supplier into a supplier of storage solutions. Charlie was instrumental in the creation of ATL's LANvault, a new class of backup server appliance. He also served on the executive team that grew the DLT tape drive business from $100M to $1.3 Billion.
   
   At Digital Equipment Corporation, Charlie was a Consulting Engineer in SSD and Memory System Engineering. Charlie was a long-time member of the Storage Patent Committee and of the Storage Systems Strategy Task Force at Digital.
   
   Prior to Digital, Charlie did memory system architecture research at Raytheon Corp. and developed automotive emissions test equipment for the Hamilton Test Systems subsidiary of United Technologies. He has a BSEE from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and has done graduate studies at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
