   GREENDALE, Wis., Aug. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Catherine M. Cassidy, former Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of Prevention magazine, today was named Senior Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of Reiman Publications, effective September 30.

   Cassidy will be responsible for all of Reiman's written and graphic content appearing in 12 magazines, plus 25 hardcover books, 30 newsstand specials and 15 wall calendars published annually.She will also spearhead development of new publications.In the past year, Reiman has launched one new magazine, Backyard Living, contributed to the development of another, Our Canada, and is testing a variety of potential new magazine concepts.

   Earlier, she was Executive Editor of the Prevention Special Interest Publications, Executive Editor of Rodale Specials, Managing Editor of Rodale Custom Publishing, Associate Editor of Rodale Books, Managing Editor of Fit magazine and Regional Editor of Runner's World magazine.
   
   Cassidy has a B.A. in journalism from San Jose State University.She serves on the board of Better Health and Living LLC.
