Libby Cassibry, 56, of Bossier City, and Suzzanne Cone, 49, of Keithville, were arrested on Oct. 6, 2004, after the two were accused of allegedly deleting information from the Chamber computer system following their resignation from the Chamber.
The charge of computer tampering is punishable with 0-5 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
Cone changed her plea to guilty on Feb. 17, 2005 at which time she was sentenced to 60 days in jail and fined $250, both of which were suspended in order for her to pay $1,000 in restitution to the Chamber. Cone was warned that if she failed to make the restitution within 30 days, she would be forced to serve the sentence as ordered.
Cassibry changed her plea to guilty on July 12, at which time she was given six months unsupervised probation and a fine of $500. Both were suspended as was her bond so that she could pay restitution of $1,965.95 to the Chamber.
Cone had resigned from her position as membership and marketing director earlier in the summer of 2004. Cassibry, a retired Bossier Parish school teacher and former school board member, also left her position as Chamber education assistant in September of 2004. -
