In a bid to boost tourism ties between the two countries, director of Lecce Museum, Antonio Cassiano, and an Italian delegation visited Iran's historical sites and tourism spots over the past week.
In a meeting with the head of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization in ICHTO's headquarter in Tehran, Cassiano termed Iran's tourism potential and attractions as astonishing.
After the meeting Cassiano said an exhibition of Iranian works will be held on January 26th, 2008 at Lecce Museum.
I have received many useful suggestions by Iranian artists about the exhibition, and some of them have already handed in their artworks, Cassiano added.
