   Prior to joining Tarsadia in 1998, Casserly was president of HFS West.Before that, he was and executive vice president of HFS Inc., now Cendant - the world's largest hotel company.He was also vice president of business development for InterPacific, a developer and operator of all-inclusive resorts around the Pacific Rim.
   
   He started his career as a management trainee for Swan Hotels in his native land of Western Australia.
