   John Cassella, 40 - Sierra Vista, Arizona
   
   John was born and raised in New York State. He attended the State University of New York at Albany where he received his Masters Degree in Political Science with a minor in economics. He also received a full academic scholarship to pursue a PhD. at the University of Pittsburgh, but after two years in the program decided to change to a more "hands-on" approach.
   
   He has spent the last ten years of his career in public management. After initially beginning his career in New York, he moved to Arizona and became the Assistant to the City Manager in Sierra Vista, Arizona, a growing community of 40,000 residents located 70 miles southeast of Tucson.
   
   During his career he has run a personnel department, performed legislative lobbying activities, and is currently responsible for compiling a $50 million annual City budget. He also traveled to Radebeul, Germany with Mayor Thomas Hessler as a representative of Sierra Vista's Sister Cities program.
   
   His spare time is spent pursuing many hobbies that include weightlifting, hiking, marksmanship, and amateur astronomy. As Vice President of the Huachuca Astronomy Club, John was responsible for beginning the "Telescopes for Telethons" program in Sierra Vista.

   Kim resides in Tucson with her spouse, John, and their three beautiful sons, Kendall (11yrs.), Calvin (5 yrs.) and Reid (1 1/2 yrs.)
