   Craig Cassady Craig Cassady has made an immediate impact on the Alumni Association team. Cassady, who was a defensive back for Ohio State's football team at the same time Archie Griffin starred as a running back, joined the Association recently as director of development and sponsorship.

   "I've seen first-hand the discipline and dedication that Craig brings to the table when he tackles a challenge," Griffin, president and CEO of the Alumni Association said.

   "Being part of The Ohio State University Alumni Association and the greatest university in the world is a life-changing opportunity for me," Cassady said. "Coach (Woody) Hayes always told us that we could never really pay back everything we would get from our years with the university, but we could and should go out into the world and "pay it forward."
   
   "In this position, I am working with supporters and fans of this great institution to create scholarships, programs, and opportunities for generations to come."
   
   Cassady earned three varsity letters in football for Ohio State. After his senior season, he was an eighth-round selection of the New Orleans Saints in the 1976 National Football League draft. That was the same year Griffin was a first-round selection of the Cincinnati Bengals.
   
   He began his sales and marketing career with Dun & Bradstreet Plan Services in 1983, then was owner and president of International Contractors, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio. Cassady later was president and chief sales officer for Federal Hose Manufacturing Corporation in Cleveland before joining USHEALTH Group as regional marketing director, where he handled a tri-state region.
   
   Cassady lives in Upper Arlington, Ohio, with his wife, Jackie, and their sons, Shea and Kyle. He is a member of the Ohio State Buckeye Club, Ohio State Men's Varsity 'O', and the Alumni Association. He's also been active in fundraising for the Special Olympics and Recreation Limited among other charitable causes.
