   One of the YouthSPEAK! advisors, Carol sheds some of her expertise on youth, the non-profit sector and delivering presentations to youth.
   
   She was born in the U.S. and came to Canada in the late '60's. She lived in the Northwest Territories for 2 years between high school and university. She received a B.A. from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Calgary, Edmonton campus.
   
   So far, she has worked for the City of Edmonton as a generic Social Worker, doing preventative social work for 15 years - generic social workers do short term counseling, educational and support groups, and community work. Carol has primarily worked in the areas of family and community violence, youth initiatives, and housing and homeless issues. She's currently married and has 2 daughters, aged 19 and 21, and 2 cats. A few of her favorite things of hers are hiking, reading, theatre and local musicians' roots music. Plus she's always keen for a trip to the mountains.
