Alan Cass, curator of the Glenn Miller archives at the University of Colorado, will present "An Evening with Glenn Miller" , a free multi-media program commemorating the life and music of Miller.Cass will include a collection of pictures, words and music concerning the life of the musician, arranger and bandleader in his program.
"An Evening with Glenn Miller" will be held on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Estes Park Museum, 200 Fourth Street.It is a joint program of the Estes Park Museum and the Estes Park Public Library Foundation.It is made possible by a grant from the Xcel Energy Foundation.
Cass embarked on a special project to develop a display depicting the life of a famous alumnus, the world famous big-bandleader of the 1940's.What began as a modest display has now grown into a major exhibit hall and library.In addition to his work at the archives, Cass has developed a captivating multi-media presentation in celebration of this fascinating artist. -
