Leslie Baez, OPBSI Director of Community Service, Betania Diaz, SIA Officer of Community Service Affairs, and Ada Ospina, SLG Alumnae Association Representative, worked together with Catherine Casquero, Bi-lingual Event Marketing Representative for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, to host an event that would successfully raise funds for the hospital.

At the end of the night, the collaborating organizations were able to present Ms. Casquero a donation for over four thousand dollars.This amount reflected the total from the eight-week penny drive, that took place between February 13 and April 10, 2006, as well as the total from the pool tournament."We appreciate the efforts and hard work from NALFO organizations, and we look forward to next year's campaign and event ... start saving those pennies!"says Ms. Casquero.

Catherine D. Casquero, Bilingual Event Marketing Representative for St. Jude's, expressed after a recent visit to the Target House in Memphis, "Target House is the home to many St. Jude patients as they stay await treatment ... and await Hope for a healthier life.Hope is what we have run all of our events, and this event on Saturday is no different."She also thanked the coordinators, "I thank you for not only demonstrating teamwork & unity [in planning the event], but for attending [the event] to show support for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital & the work that is done to save lives."
