   Henry was born in Milwaukee in 1861. He attended St. Mary's School and St. Gall's School. As a young man he studied at the local business college in the evenings. He later became a clerk in his father Alois' tailoring business. Henry and Rose resided in Milwaukee until 1899; they moved to Chippewa Falls after Jacob's death.

   Henry led the company as acting president from 1899 until 1907. He was secretary and treasurer of the company from 1899 until his death in 1927. He was also president of the Consolidated Milling, Elevator & Power Company. The Chippewa Falls Herald Telegram described Henry Casper at the time of his death: Not only was Mr.Casper a capable business man, but he had an agreeable and congenial disposition, which won him scores of friends. While he attained individual success and was recognized as one of the leading business men of the city, he contributed his part toward the advancement of the city's interests and was always found ready to give of his time and money for improvements that were undertaken for the benefit of the general public.
