LAURENCE A. CASO
Laurence A. Caso is currently Executive Vice President of Development & Production at National Audio Video, Inc. in New York. He recently was the Senior Producer of NAV's documentary, "Inside Baghdad", which ran in March, 2004 on The History Channel.
Mr. Caso began his television career in 1975 at CBS in Los Angeles, where he worked on the development of comedy and drama series. In New York, he held positions as Director of Special Programs (animation, cultural documentaries, variety, award shows, movies & mini-series) and Vice President of Daytime Programs (dramatic serials and game shows).
In 1988, Procter & Gamble hired him as Executive Producer of AS THE WORLD TURNS. While he produced over 1,700 episodes of that long-running CBS serial, the program received numerous awards, including the Daytime Emmy as Outstanding Drama Series, and the Editors Award for Lifetime Achievement from "Soap Opera Digest." Just prior to joining NAV, Inc., he also produced two seasons of DONNA'S DAY for the Jim Henson Company, which ran on the Hallmark Channel. That series was cited by the Associated Press on its annual "Ten Best Shows on Television" list.
Mr. Caso's education includes a Bachelor's degree at Syracuse University, where he majored in Television & Radio, and a Master's degree at Indiana University.
