   Mrs Cashmore lives in the village of Hambleton, near Selby, and is Co-ordinator for Selby District Association of Voluntary Services, which has recently been appointed lead agency for the Selby District SureStart programme. Mrs Cashmore was the lay member on Selby Primary Care Group Board prior to the establishment of the Primary Care Trust. She is Chair of both the North Yorkshire Children's Fund Programme and the Domestic Violence Forum in Selby.
