A GOOD START: Helping the new Rotary Club get off the ground are (back) Robyn Maw, Allysha Myers, Andrew Vogler, Suzanne Cashmere and Maria Bargwanna with (front) Haimish Karrasch, Alison Bennett, Geo

Rotary Club of Orange Calare president Suzanne Cashmere, who was appointed by Rotary district governor Geoff Bargwanna to oversee the formation of the new club, said the less formal meetings over drinks and nibbles during 'cocktail hour' appeal to the younger members.

Ms Cashmere has already taken a back seat by allowing club members to lead the meetings and discuss possible projects for fundraising.
"They have already been on a vocational visit to Spine Alive and some of the members have committed to community service such as manning the Driver Reviver stop," she said.
"They are also looking forward to planning some social functions," she said.
The club meets upstairs at the Aaron Hotel at 6.15 for 6.30pm each Wednesday.
