    Karen Cashin - Programming Director

    A member of IABC/Detroit for three years, Karen joined the board of directors as editor of the Galley newsletter. This year she shifted gears and moved into the role of co-chair for the programming committee. In this role, Karen is responsible for coordinating all monthly professional development programs from researching topics that would be of interest to members to the scheduling of the speakers.

    Karen is a lead client communications associate for Health Alliance Plan where she creates and manages member communication plans by researching, writing and editing a wide variety of materials. She is responsible for writing and editing articles for a magazine with a circulation of more than 500,000 members. She also serves as project manager for the editorial process, writing and editing materials and presentations.

    Karen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Central Michigan University and a Master of Arts degree in communication from Wayne State University. She is a member of the Junior League of Detroit and serves as scholarship chair for the Detroit Pan-Hellenic Association.
