    Fred Cashin, Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRCP), is a graduate of the Respiratory Therapy Program from the Toronto Institute of Medical Technology, now known as The Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences.Mr. Cashin joined Blue-Zone in November 2001 following a successful twelve-year career in the field of anesthesia.He was formerly with St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, where he held a variety of positions, including Respiratory Therapist and Clinical Coordinator for Acute Intensive Care.Most recently, Mr. Cashin directed and managed the Crisis Resource Management Training Program for physicians, clinical staff and clinical students, using a complex software system and a microprocessor-driven robotic mannequin at the Patient Simulation Centre.He was also instrumental in conducting a clinical trial and research study on Blue-Zone's Deltaâ„¢ technology under the supervision of Dr. Bob Byrick, Chairman, Department of Anesthesia, University of Toronto.

    Mr. Cashin is responsible for project management, including budgeting and scheduling, as well as for the facilitating of detail design, engineering, procurement and fabrication of Blue-Zone's Deltaneâ„¢ brand anesthetic reclamation and purification trains.He will be overseeing the demonstration plant assembly, start-up and commissioning, and will be appointed Plant Manager for this endeavour.Mr. Cashin is also responsible for securing Blue-Zone's Establishment License, as well as for ensuring that the Blue-Zone facility adheres to the guidelines for Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined by the Health Canada Therapeutic Products Program.
