Most of Tom's life experience is in Control Systems Engineering, he is also enlisted in the United States Naval Reserve, and holds the rank of EWCS(SW) - Senior CHIEF Petty Officer with a Surface Warfare specialty designator. He serves his reserve unit as the Command Senior Enlisted Advisor and has held that position for the Naval & Marine Corps Reserve Center, Tulsa, OK. Tom became a Chiefs fan in 1963 when the Dallas Texans relocated to Kansas City, his passion for the Chiefs has never waned.
