He was a native of Bessemer City, Ala. Formerly of San Antonio, he had been a Floresville resident for the past three years.
Thearthur was a graduate of Roosevelt High School, class of 1997, where he was a member of the Junior ROTC. He received a medal for his leadership.
He also was a state champion wrestler for the school, as well as a state football player, a state track star in the 400-meter hurdles, and a member of the Boy Scouts of America.
After graduating from Roosevelt, he attended Prairie View A&M University, later transferring to Southwest Texas State University.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Samuel and Deneice Stewart of Floresville; father Thearthur Cash Sr. of Bessemer City, Ala.; maternal grandmother Luvertis Mickles of Inglewood, Calif.; maternal great-grandmother Willie Mae Underwood of Bessemer City, Ala.; paternal grandmother Katie Bell Cash of Bessemer City; adopted son Jeremy L. Delgado of Floresville; brother Joseph Stewart of Floresville; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held in the Franklin Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5.
He will be transferred to Johnson Memorial Funeral Home Inc. in Bessemer City, Ala., for a funeral service on Friday, June 7, in the Morning Star United Methodist Church.
