Ginger Suzanne Mercier and Brett Landon Cash were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2005, at The Reserve on Lake Keowee at Sunset.The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Reid Lehman, and a reception followed.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. Stanley King of Easley and Steve Mercier of Six Mile.She is a graduate of Anderson College and Converse College and is a mathematics teacher at Gettys Middle School, Easley.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Ray Cash of Simpsonville.He is a graduate of Southern Wesleyan University and is a corporate pilot with Ryans Restaurant Group.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an A-line, diamond-white, silk, strapless gown with a semi-cathedral train and complementing veil.She carried a natural bouquet of red tulips tied with sheer-green ribbon.

The PCYC also nurtured Neal's grandson, Brett Cash, 26, who went on to compete in Australia's wrestling team in the 2000 Olympics.Cash, a PE teacher, volunteers his time to coach boys at the PCYC two nights a week, while his grandad brings along an esky full of soft drinks.
