The weekly poetry revival reading continue this week with guest poet and performance writer Trish Casey
Trish Casey, from the harbour town of Cobh in Co.Cork, is a graduate of the Gaiety School of Acting.She also voice-trained with IORC Academy, Cork and at Walton's School Of Music, Dublin.Trish writes and performs poetry, short monologues and dramatic works on interpersonal, social and political themes.Her performances incorporate movement, chanting, singing, ritual and the use of props.
Trish has performed her work at the Sirius Arts Centre, Cobh, alongside Annie Proulx; Galway City Library in the "On The Edge" series 2003, Clifden Community Arts Week 2003, Nimmo's restaurant for the Bretagne Festival 2003, as well as the Town Hall Studio and Scribbler's Wine bar, Galway; the Bank of Ireland Arts Centre, Dublin. for the Business to Arts Showcase 2002 and in the "Out to Lunch" series 2003; Triscal Arts Centre, Cork, for Art Trail 2002, the CAT Club, Kinsale Arts Festival, Cork Midsummer Arts Festival, Eigse na gCuige, the Munster Literature Centre, Cork; and the Dylan Thomas Centre, Swansea, as part of the Cork Swansea Cultural Exchange 1997. -
