   The MCDA welcomes Marjorie Casey as the Community Outreach Department's communications coordinator. Casey will oversee strategic communications planning, media relations, special events planning, marketing MCDA programs and projects, and will coordinate the MCDA's Web site at www.mcda.org.
   
   Steve Cramer, executive director of the MCDA, says, "Marjorie Casey brings a wealth of experience to the MCDA and will help us greatly as we refocus our communications efforts on communities at a neighborhood level.

   We are delighted Marjorie is on board to help us accomplish our mission."
   
   Casey joins the MCDA with 16 years of communications experience, most recently at the University of Minnesota where she served as Public Relations/Events Coordinator for the College of Natural Resources and Bell Museum. Previously she worked as Web manager for the Minnesota Department of Transportation and communications director for the Minnesota State Arts Board.
   
   Casey replaces Dawn Hagen who left the MCDA in November 2000.
