National University System Names Kevin Casey as President of College of Oceaneering

La Jolla, CA - National University System Chancellor Dr. Jerry C. Lee has named Mr. Kevin Casey as President of the Los Angeles Harbor-based College of Oceaneering (COO).
Previously, Mr. Casey served for six years as vice president for administration and business at National University.He has worked with COO since The National University System acquired it in January 2002.The non-profit community college, which is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, provides Associate of Science degrees in marine technology.It operates within the National University System as a separate but affiliated entity.
Mr. Casey's professional experience in higher education includes positions at Catholic University and Gallaudet University, where he served as director of computer services prior to joining National University in 1995.A former employee of General Electric and the Bunker Ramo Corporation, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering and a Master of Science degree in applied mechanics from Catholic University of America, and a Master of Science degree in computer science from the University of Maryland.
