   Speaking for the Leinster Society, its president, Mr. John Casey, noted that the complexity of the current regulatory climate makes it difficult for an under funded agency to adequately provide regulatory services. Noting that a high level of expertise is necessary in order to adequately assess complex areas of compliance, Mr. Casey stated that the Government needed to heavily invest in educating the work staff at IFSRA in order to allow it to keep pace with the expanding compliance environment.

   John Casey, president of nSpire Re, has been elected chairman of the Leinster Society of Chartered Accountants (LSCA) with immediate effect.
   
   Mr Casey has over 20 years' experience in the industry with 18 of those years being in the insurance sector.
   
   He has had held the position of Vice-Chairman of LSCA for the last 12 months.
