Brenna M. CaseyCommunication and Development ConsultantBrenna is currently the Sparks Fellow in the University of Notre Dame's M.F.A. in Creative Writing program where she is the Managing Editor of the Notre Dame Review and founder of a writing group for adults at South Bend's Center for the Homeless.Her interests include writing pedagogy and community-based writing as social action.Brenna is currently at work on a book of nonfiction.

BRENNA CASEY: Boston College, B.A.; University of Notre Dame, M.F.A. Brenna's love for travel and travel writing flourished during college when she studied at the Universidad de San Francisco in Quito, Ecuador. She has traveled extensively throughout Ecuador and Latin America, including a trek along the Inca Trail. She recently graduated from the University of Notre Dame's M.F.A. program in Creative Writing, where she received the Sparks Fellowship. While at Notre Dame, Brenna served as Managing Editor for the Notre Dame Review, taught several Academic Writing Seminars, received the university's Distinguished Graduate Student Award, and facilitated a writing group for adults at the Center for the Homeless in South Bend, Indiana. She is a nonfiction writer currently based in Washington, DC. This will be Brenna's third summer with Putney. She led a Putney Community Service program in Ecuador in 2007 and a National Geographic Student Expeditions program to Peru in 2008. She is fluent in Spanish.

While at Boston College, Brenna studied abroad at the Universidad de San Francisco in Quito, Ecuador.While there, she volunteered at the Center for Working Boys in the north of the city where she planned and taught classes for working children and adult education classes for parents of enrolled students.After graduation, Brenna moved to Seattle and worked with a large non-profit social service agency that caters to the needs of the city's low-income immigrant and refugee population.She is currently the Sparks Fellow in the University of Notre Dame's M.F.A program, the Managing Editor of the Notre Dame Review, and facilitates a writing group for adults at The Center for the Homeless in South Bend, Indiana.She is at work on a book of non-fiction.Brenna is fluent in Spanish.
