Darryl Carver joined WPXI-TV/Channel 11 News in September of 1997 as a general assignment reporter.

Before joining Channel 11 News, Carver was a reporter at WLWT-TV in Cincinnati, Ohio, WGAL-TV in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, WSAV-TV in Savannah, Georgia and WVIR-TV in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Carver graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelors of Art in Rhetoric and Communications Studies.

Carver lives in Pittsburgh

Darryl was born in Baltimore, Maryland and grew up on the city's West side.He attended the University of Virginia and graduated in 1991 with a degree in rhetoric and communications studies.

Before graduation he worked as an intern for WJZ-TV in Baltimore.His first reporting job came shortly after graduation with WVIR-TV in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Darryl spent two years there as the Shenandoah Valley Bureau Chief before heading off to WSAV-TV in Savannah, Georgia.After Savannah, he worked in the State Capitol bureau in Harrisburg, PA for WGAL-TV in Lancaster.While there, he spent a year as the weekend morning anchor at WLWT in Cincinnati.Most recently, Darryl was reporter for WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh, PA.

Darryl says he's thrilled to return to the DC area since most of his family lives just a few minutes north in Baltimore.

Watching sports is one way Darryl likes to spend his free time.He loves the Virginia Cavaliers, the Orioles, the Ravens, and the Pittsburgh Penguins.He also enjoys reading and playing sports; especially basketball.Darryl is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.

Darryl Carver joins FOX O & O WAGA in Atlanta as a general assignment reporter.Darryl who is a graduate of the University of Virginia and a two time Emmy winner has worked at WJLA in D.C. and WPXI in Pittsburgh.Darryl is also a member of the NABJ.
