Carol Cartwright is an accomplished senior public relations executive with more than 17 years of marketing communications experience within the health care industry representing pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
During her career, Carol has demonstrated an expertise in developing and implementing strategic and creative PR initiatives that drive sales by increasing awareness for Rx and OTC products and corporations.
Currently, Carol directs communications initiatives for Reckitt Benckiser, Inc., MiddleBrook Pharmaceuticals, ProStrakan and the Yul Brynner Head and Neck Cancer Foundation.
She also is a member of the agency's New Business Account Team, and serves on both the Management and Operations Committees.
During her tenure at MCS, Carol has managed account teams representing products from a variety of therapeutic areas, including cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, oncology, urology, neurology, rheumatology, pulmonology, and immunology.
In her previous position as Senior Director of Client Services at MCS, Carol had management focus for sanofi-aventis, Genentech, Inc., Merck Vaccine Division, McNeil Consumer Products, Pharmacia (now Pfizer) and Roche Laboratories.
She also was the Account Supervisor for the respiratory products of Allen & Hanburys Division of Glaxo, Inc., and served as a member of the marketing communications team representing Lederle Laboratories.
Earlier in her career at MCS, Carol worked extensively on cardiovascular products marketed by Zeneca Pharmaceuticals Group in the US and UK, developed a public education program on acne for Lederle International, and coordinated several promotional campaigns for ALZA Corporation and Warner-Lambert.
Carol joined MCS as an Account Executive from the Hospital Satellite Network (HSN).
Before HSN, Carol was an Account Executive at Wang Associates, where she coordinated public relations programs for several major pharmaceutical companies.
Prior to graduating with honors from Douglass College with a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass media, she served an internship in the Community Relations department at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and in the Spot Sales department for NBC-TV in New York.
