Dr. Byron Cartwright

Dr. Byron Cartwright is the chairman of the music department at Atlanta Christian College. He conducts the Concert Choir and the vocal group, One Accord, and teaches private voice at the college. Dr. Cartwright has served as the president of the Association of Christian College Music Educators. He has been a minister of music for many years and is recognized as a leader in the field of contemporary worship. His many students have been successful as ministers of music, worship leaders, music teachers, and nationally recognized artists in the field of contemporary Christian music.

Byron Cartwright is Chair of the Music Department at Atlanta Christian College.With a M.M. in Vocal Performance from the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati and the D.M.A. from Southern Seminary, he teaches classes in Music Ministry, Voice, and Conducting, as well as directing the Choral Groups on campus.

Throughout his teaching career, he has maintained music ministry positions in the local church and remains a leader in music education and ministry.

Byron is married to Katie, also on the Music Faculty at ACC.

A mini-choral workshop is planned for October and will be led by Dr. Byron Cartwright from Atlanta Christian College.Dr. Cartwright will be coaching the students on songs that we are working on and also on some of our Christmas music.He will also be giving us pointers on tone production and breathing.
