Brian Cartwright, Chair of CHAIN and retired chief executive of an incinerator company, gave an outline of Cheshire County Council's plans to build at least one municipal waste incinerator in the county. He explained the huge scale of such a plant, the devastating effect on house prices and the increase in traffic, noise and smells that such a plant would have.
