Mr. Carter has studied under several notable martial arts masters, including Jerry Beasley and Joe Lewis (pioneer of American Karate/Kickboxing and student of the late Bruce Lee).

Mr. Carter enjoys motivating students of all ages and has gained much of his teaching experience serving as the head instructor of the Tech Martial Arts Club at Virginia Tech, kickboxing instructor at The Weight Club fitness center, and owner of Karate Unlimited martial arts studio.
He also works as an adjunct faculty instructor, teaching marketing courses at ODU as well as martial arts and self defense courses at TCC.
