Earlier in his career, Xavier became a Physical Fitness Specialist at the Institute of Aerobic Research in 1987, and then founded Fitsource, a company dedicated to serving the health and fitness needs of the national and international populations in 1988.He has been a master Instructor at the Molly Fox Studios and Instructor training Center in New York City, Director of Fitness and Marketing at the Houstonian in Houston, Texas, and was appointed by NIKE to their F.I.T. Body Elite Team (a fitness instructor/trainer award.).

Xavier executive produced an internationally acclaimed video of his workout, Xavier's Workout for Everyone which was featured in Beauty Digest, American Fitness, Metrosports, Shape, Healthworld, Health and Fitness and Video Insider magazines.He also produced the video A Workout From the Phoenix Spa and was featured in A Texas Size Workout.

He has recently starred in three of Crunch's television workout shows.

Xavier has been recognized by The United States President's Council on Sports and Fitness for his dedication to the health and fitness industry.He co-founded the Fitness Instructor Training Center of Mexico in Puebla, Mexico, and The Fitness Learning Center in cooperation with the Universidad De Valle Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico.

Xavier is a native New Mexican, and holds a BBA in Marketing from New Mexico State University.Xavier currently resides in Los Angeles, California, where Fitsource is headquartered.Current projects aside from personal training in L.A. and on the web site include an upcoming book on achieving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and guest lecturing and presentations regarding exercise and health issues.
