Bill Carpenter is a native of Nashville with twenty-five years of underwriting and agency experience.After graduation from the University of Tennessee, he accepted a position with the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company as a Bond Underwriter and serviced construction accounts in all classifications of construction.

Bill joined a national broker, Alexander & Alexander, in 1978 as a Bond Account Executive.While with Alexander & Alexander, he was responsible for the marketing and service of all construction clients.In 1988 Bill joined Gale Smith + Company, Inc. where he serves as an Account Executive and Bond Manager for the agency.He has served on the Agency Executive Management Committee Since 2002.

Because his underwriting and agency experience, Bill is the agency's primary resource regarding all contract/surety bonding matters, as well as, an experienced resource for other specialty coverage.
