Billy Carpenter, MS, RDBilly Carpenter, MS, RD is a classically trained registered dietitian specializing in human metabolism and sports nutrition.
Billy earned his Bachelors of Science in Dietetics and Masters of Science in Nutritional Science from the University of Vermont.He then continued his educational pursuit by completing his Dietetic Internship and additional post graduate education at the University of Alabama, Birmingham.He then successfully completed the national Registration Examination for Dietitians, and has been an active member of the American Dietetic Association for the last 10 years.
During his tenure at the University of Vermont and the University of Alabama, Birmingham he served as a research associate conducting human research related to age related changes to metabolism and body composition in a variety of subject populations.Billy also spent a summer working at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana studying the effects of dietary manipulation in a cohort of US Army Special Forces.These various research efforts resulted in several first author and co-author publications in such journals as, The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, The American Journal of Physiology, The Journal of Applied Physiology, Neurology, and the Journal of the American Geriatrics Association.
In 1997 Mr. Carpenter assumed the position of Director of Clinical Sciences at MET-Rx, USA in Irvine, CA where he worked directly with Dr. Scott Connelly on product development and various ongoing research protocols.During this time Billy had the chance to work with numerous professional athletes and Hollywood actors devising nutritional programs.After MET-Rx was sold Billy served as the nutritional and research consultant for Dr. Connelly's manuscript Body Rx (http://bodyrx.com).

At this time Billy assumed a position of Project Manager of Diet and Exercise at Berkeley HeartLab (http://www.bhlinc.com) in the Bay Area of California, which specializes in cardiovascular disease management.Currently, Billy resides in Southern California where he serves as a consultant to the nutritional supplement industry.
