   Kevin P. Carpenter, Class of 1978, is a retired Louisiana State Police senior trooper and a former DARE officer for the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office. After 21 years in police work, he now works for The Bayou Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, a non-profit, state-licensed drug abuse prevention education company. Kevin was vice-president of the McNeese Newman Club for one term while he was in school. He lives in Labadieville with his wife, Mary, and sons John, 10, and Mark, 9.
