Carpenter Named New Executive V.P. Of Rochester Business

8/5/2007 - Andrew Carpenter of Dunkirk is the new executive vice president of Career Systems Development Corporation of Rochester, and Irvine, Calif., operator of 10 Job Corps centers nationwide and the Chautauqua County One-stops.
Carpenter has a long tenure at Cassadaga Job Corps, more than 10 years of which was spent as academy director.During that time, Cassadaga rose to its current status as one of the nation's top-ranked centers, still maintained today.Carpenter has since served as director of Penobscot Job Corps Academy in Bangor, Maine, and most recently as vice president of program development for CSD.
In his new role, he will be responsible for education and training operations for the company's Job Corps centers in Sacramento, San Diego and San Jose, Calif.; Laredo, Texas; St. Paul, Minn.; New Orleans, La,; Bangor, Maine; Morganfield, Ky., New Haven, Conn., and Cassadaga, providing academic and technical training for more than 3,400 youths annually.CSD, an Owl Company, operates Job Corps centers for the U.S. Department of Labor.
Carpenter and his wife, Catherine, will relocate to Irvine, Calif.He is a graduate of Fredonia High School and the State University at Fredonia.
