Christina Carney

Christina Carney, Class of 2009

Christina Carney is a graduate of Notre Dame Academy High School located in Staten Island, New York.Christina resides in Staten Island with her father, a younger brother and a younger sister.

Christina graduated with a 96 average, ranked 6th in her class, and received awards for excellence in Spanish, Theology and Math.She was actively involved in her parish youth group and was a founding member of a program dedicated to teaching young women leadership skills to bring about positive change in themselves and their communities.Christina also served as a mentor and role model for younger students in the Ophelia Project, a program dedicated to creating a safe environment and combating peer aggression.

For her academic excellence, leadership and dedication to her community, Christina Carney is the 2005 recipient of the Thomas M. Brennan Memorial Scholarship at Boston College.
