    Mrs. Carney is survived by her husband William E. Carney; 5 sons, Steve McKeever of NY, Tom Radcliffe, Lewis Radcliffe and Jeff Radcliffe, all of Bear, and George and Louise Radcliffe with whom she lived; 3 daughters, Jeanie Shaw of PA, Shirley Duffy and Rachel Radcliffe, both of Wilmington; 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.     Anna S. Carney Age 97 of Wilmington, DE died Monday, March 17, 2003 at Gilpin Hall in Wilmington.Born in Camden, NJ and daughter of the late Charles and Isabelle Mead Petitt, she was a longtime Salem County, NJ resident, living in Wilmington for the past 10 years.

    She worked as a cashier for Howard Johnson on the New Jersey Turnpike for 23 years and she was a longtime member of the Union Presbyterian Church in Carneys Point, NJ.She was a former member of the Pennsville Republican Club.

    Survivors include her daughter, Annabelle C. Kressman of Wilmington; son, Albert C. Bushnell of Port Charlotte, FL; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Carney, who died in 1950; and 2 sisters, Ethel Leonard and Florence Dennis.

    There will be a funeral service at 11 am on Saturday, March 22 at the LAUGHREY FUNERAL HOME, 1 N. Broadway, Pennsville, NJ, where family and friends may call 1 hour prior to the service.Burial will follow in Lawnside Cemetery in Woodstown, NJ.     Annabelle Carney ~1914-1989

    Annabelle Carney of Dover died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 1989, in Kent General Hospital.She was 75.Mrs. Carney retired from Leeds Travel Wear in 1974.

    She is survived by her husband, Lincoln Carney; two sons; John Reggs Greenage of Dover and William G. Greenage of Preston, Md; a brother, Mike Sammons of N.J., four sisters, Hazella Coker, Mary Reed, Coreen Christiansen, and Beatrice Carney, all of Dover; four grandchildren and a great-grandson Services will be Sunday at Forest Grove Seventh Day Adventist Church in Dover.

    Mr. Carney prior to the plants closing had been employed with Owens-Illinois Glass Co. for 31 years on Forming Line B, and was associated with Bridgeton Glass and Mirror for several years.He was also a sergeant in the Cumberland County Special Deputies Sheriff's Department for 10 years.During that time he also served as a "Sergeant at Arms."Mr. Carney was a member of St. John United Methodist Church of Fordsville.

    In addition to his wife, surviving are four sons, Milton Carney of Columbus, Ohio, Benjamin Carney Jr. of Elmer, Stephen Carney of Fayeville, N.C., Nolan Carney of Seabrook; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; a Godchild; an aunt; several nephews and nieces.He was predeceased by a brother, Herbert Lewis Carney, and a sister, Dorothy Carney Streets.

    Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Padgett Funeral Home, State Highway 77, Bridgeton, with the Rev. Nyada Clarke officiating.Interment will take place at Fordville Methodist Cemetery.Friends will be received one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

    Blanche Carney of R.D. 5, Cheswold, died of heart failure Monday, August 25, 1986, in Kent General Hospital, Dover.She was 86.

    Mrs. Carney was a 60-year member and a past treasurer of Immanuel Union Methodist Church, Cheswold.She was a homemaker.

    Her husband, W. Dawson Carney, died in l977.She is survived by a son, Norman D. Carney of Millville, N.J.; a daughter, Thelma of Dover; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

    Mr. Carney worked for the state of Delaware for 17 years in the maintenance department of the De-partment of Transportation, retiring in 1991.He enjoyed hunting, especially with his rabbit dogs.He also enjoyed working on cars, trucks and other vehicles.Mr. Carney was a member of the Delaware Pony Breeder & Owners Association.

Carney III; two granddaughters, Kristina Nicole and Brittney Mae Carlisle; a special godson, "Jo Jo" Joseph M. Seeney, and his wife, Kathi; a brother, Glendon M. Sammons; two sisters and their husbands, Betty M. and Joseph "Joey" Seeney and Carmella and Wayne Stanton; 10 special nieces and nephews; four great nieces and nephews; and two very special lifetime fiends, Ricky May and Arlena "Pinky" Coker.
