Director of Photography
...
Coming from a stills photography background, Mark trained in cinematography at the National Film School. With over ten years experience, he is just at home being a DoP on 35mm commercials as he is shooting projects on High Definition with a small crew. He enjoys a creative challenge and strives to achieve a fresh, innovative result on any budget. It is this versatile approach that has led him to enjoy shooting a variety of genres around the world.
Mark was lighting cameraman on the controversial documentary ‘Saying It For The Girls' which won a BAFTA in 2000. A number of promotions he has shot have been nominated at Promax UK and Promax Europe, with two nominations in the new Best Photography category in 2002. Mark is keen to try out new ideas. He is quick to foster close working relationships with all members of the production team, contributing at every level to ensure the best overall results. He has taught many short camera courses for BBC, London Film Academy, and ScriptNet amongst others, relishing the opportunity to share his knowledge and nurture contemporaries.
