Currently, Aaron is co-owner and lead engineer / producer at StudioZPro studio in Phoenix AZ, and has worked with major label artists at some of the best studios in the US.When I asked Aaron why he decided to set up shop in Phoenix and mostly work on "local band demos" he replied: "Because I love it here!Lots of the artists I always wanted to work with live here, and though the glory days of Phoenix recording has moved back to LA, it still has memories.Unbelievable natural environment, animal life, and scenery. And of course, Phoenix is the Mecca and Medina of all things BMX!".I next asked him if he still had the desire to move around the country to pursue "the big boys", he replied: "Nah, from here on out I want to make little bands BIGGER".
I don't recollect exactly how I met Aaron on the internet.I do remember though how I would read his often-opinionated posts on various bulletin boards and think, "This guy knows his stuff".Somehow we wound up with each other's usernames for MSN Messenger, and we started chatting it up several times a week.At first, I knew little of Aaron's professional background.Over the last year though, not only have I enjoyed talking audio with him, but from time to time, he would drop names in reference to some discussion about audio, (something he seemed somewhat uncomfortable doing), of the various major label artists he has done production for.
