   "I would love to see more sidewalks," Teri Cannady said.Cannady is the principal of Challenger Middle School, which borders Trafalgar on the south side.The school has an enrollment of 800 students, a number that will climb to 1,100 next year.Many of those students come from the surrounding neighborhood and walk or ride their bikes to school.
   
   "It concerns me that they walk or ride in the road," Cannady said."
   
   Cannady said the current lack of sidewalks in the area hasn't caused any accidents or mishaps, but the addition of the coming concrete adds to the area's safety.
   
   "I'm sure we'll see more students walk or ride their bikes because now parents don't think it's safe enough without sidewalks," Cannady said.
   
   Parent Liz Marquezado is one of those parents who has concerns about the area near Challenger Middle School.Her daughter lives too far away to walk, but Marquezado said she watches other students who walk or ride their bikes on the grass or on the road.
   
   "It's a mess," she said.
