   Mr. Cannady specializes in defending employers in state and federal court. He has defended individual claims and class actions alleging discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour violations, overtime liability, and failure to pay the prevailing wage. He has litigated cases under the National Labor Relations Act and the Railway Labor Act, and has appeared before numerous California agencies. He recently acted as special labor counsel for a major air carrier in bankruptcy.
   
   Mr. Cannady has counseled employers on complying with state and federal employment law, and has helped employers draft personnel policies and handbooks. He specializes in employment-related domestic partnership and same-sex marriage issues.
   
   Mr. Cannady served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Christine O.C. Miller, United States Court of Federal Claims, from 2002 to 2003.
