   Ron Cann Mr. Cann is the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of PROFITLAB. Mr. Cann, with over 30 years of financial and accounting experience, joined PROFITLAB in 1995 after 10 years as a CPA with Arthur Young & Co. (a predecessor of Ernst and Young - www.ey.com) where he managed audits of retail, manufacturing and governmental customers, including SEC customers. After leaving public accounting, Mr. Cann became the Chief Financial Officer for Dial Page (a start up company that grew to become largest paging company in the Southeast). During his six years as CFO of Dial Page, the company acquired 20 other paging companies with combined purchase prices in excess of $50 million. Funding was provided by bank debt with Bank of New York as the lead bank, venture capitalists, Providence Journal Company and Fleet Funding, and the placement of $26.2 million limited partnership interests underwritten by Alex Brown & Sons. In addition to being directly involved in all of the acquisitions, Ron was responsible for all financial, accounting and tax reporting, as well as overseeing the operations of the EDP functions of the company. Mr. Cann has also been President of a Value Added Reseller of barcode computer equipment which was acquired by Compsee, Inc.; CFO of the largest operator of video games in South Carolina; Paratrooper in the United States Army where he was awarded the 82nd Airborne Outstanding Trooper Award and the Expert Infantry Badge, and both a Public school teacher and basketball coach. Mr. Cann is currently an Adjunct Professor Of Accounting in the MBA program for Webster University. In addition, he earned his B.A. from Clemson University and his Master of Accountancy degree from University of South Carolina.

   PRESIDENT Ron Cann welcomed 22 members to the AGM and final meeting of the current season of the Taunton and West Somerset Retired Teachers Group at the Staplegrove village hall on Tuesday, March 20.
