   Michael S. Cann (mscannjr@sloan.mit.edu) Co-Chair of Global VC SIG (Europe) Michael is currently a second year MBA student at MIT where he is pursuing the New Product and Venture Development Track. He recently helped Macroswiss S.A., a Swiss designer of security and surveillance systems, to secure US$200,000 in seed funding. Prior to MIT, Michael worked for two years as a management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton and for four years at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he provided bankruptcy and reorganization advice to companies in the U.S. and in Thailand. Michael sits on the Board of Directors of the Duke University Alumni Club of Boston and was previously the President of the Southern California chapter. He has lectured at the MBA program of the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok, Thailand. Michael received an A.B. in Mathematics with honors from Duke University.

   Michael is an entrepreneur and angel investor. Until recently he was co-founder and CEO of Affinio, a provider of personalized Internet search solutions. Prior to that, he consulted to technology start-ups Viagogo ( www.viagogo.co.uk) and Macroswiss (www.macroswiss.com). Previously he worked as a management consultant and as an advisor to financially troubled businesses in the U.S. and Southeast Asia. He has an MBA from MIT Sloan and an A.B. in Mathematics with honors from Duke University.
