Maria Teresita Canilao

Maria Teresita Canilao is the talented, artistic teacher of the Maryknoll Good News Deaf Centrum.Terry has a B.A. in Education, M.A. in Philosophy and an M.A. in Special Education.As an excellent student she was the recipient of the Outstanding National Leader Award while in college and lately, the Vocation Month Award for Service for People with Disabilities.

During her first pregnancy, she started to lose her hearing due to an overdose in medication prescribed by her doctor.She learned Sign Language.Today she has lost 90% of her hearing.
