Rich Caniglia
Ever since Rich was a little kid and opted to watch the Weather Channel instead of Saturday morning cartoons, he knew he was hooked on the weather. Growing up in Rhode Island and Massachusetts gave him a chance to experience every type of weather possible. From blizzards to hurricanes, thunderstorms to ice, every storm was unique and fascinating. Luckily for him, he had the opportunity to study Meteorology at Cornell University in Ithaca. He received his BS degree in 1997, and membership to the American Meteorological Society soon after that. Before he came to News 10NBC, Rich worked at WETM-TV in Elmira and WGRZ-TV in Buffalo, both at the same time. Rich has lived in and around New York for the past seven years. When he's not thinking about the weather, sports is usually on his mind. He loves baseball and golf, and enjoys football and hockey. Listening to all kinds of music is another hobby, whether it's jazz and classical or alternative and punk rock. He likes it all. Rich also collects sports memorabilia and plays the saxophone to pass the time. Rich tells 10NBC viewers to keep an eye to the sky, because you never know what you might see. You can see Rich Caniglia on News 10NBC each weekday morning on AM Live.
