Liz Cange Liz has over 25 years of service with Boeing where she has held positions from a Developmental Technician for Flight Simulation where her team developed the prototype products for new and existing military aircraft. She managed a sheet metal and electronic lab before becoming the first woman to manage International Suppliers. As an Industrial Engineer and Associate Technical Fellow, Liz works in the manufacturing of Integrated Defense Systems. Her current assignments as an internal Lean consultant for the enterprise include being the St. Louis Site Industrial Engineering Leadership Team Value Stream Mapping (VSM) Leader, the Lean Best Practice Site focal for VSM, and Team Leader for the Enterprise VSM Team. Liz's exceptional Lean background and practice were instrumental recently, as she was assigned to assist Aero Vodochody in the Czech Republic in implementing Lean Manufacturing.
Liz was the Lean Implementation Leader who guided the T-38 Mod Line in Mesa, Arizona, where the team turned an aircraft mass-assembly hanger into a single piece continuous flow system realizing a 52% unit labor saving. Other assignments on her resume include support of F-22 in Seattle, JDAM Missiles and Boeing Satellite Company in California and F/A-18, F-15 Production Lines in St Louis.

Liz Cange is a recognized expert in industrial engineering principles and theories with accomplished mastery in applying IE and Lean concepts for the Boeing Co. With over 26 years of experience and with her exceptional Lean background and practice made this instrumental in her being selected as a 2002 Associate Technical Fellow for Boeing. Liz currently is an internal consultant for the Boeing, where she a pplies and develops enterprise resources to plan, manage, the execution of multiple complex projects. Liz, Leads teams of stakeholders enabling the customer to define strategy and course of action supporting defined business objectives and long-range business plan. She creates reviews and approves multiple process designs through the application of industrial engineering methodologies for transformation of programs to one piece flow processes. Liz has developed and implements process improvements using state of the art project management and lean methodologies on Modification and Maintenance programs as T-38 in Mesa, KC135 PDM and GATM, in San Antonio where these programs have reduced in cost by over 36% each. In addition Liz has a wide verity of new build programs she leads the Lean events on such as Satellites, F/A-18EF, F15, T45, F22 and JDAM and Small Diameter Bomb.
Liz develops and trains employees in Lean Manufacturing process. She as Lead the first Enterprise Value Stream Map Team which lead to the internal usage of VSM, as a tool to guide team down the Lean journey. As one of the Companies Lean Leaders Liz has had several unique and exciting special assignments with both internal and external customers. She utilized her skills in the Czech Republic in implementing Boeing Lean Manufacturing where she conducted numerous Lean Events and trained employees in facilitating future events.
