TALENT : C. B. CANGA
Christopher Barnard Canga was born at a naval base in Jacksonville, Florida in 1976. Early on, his mother discovered that a piece of paper and some crayons worked wonders in taming the restless dragon. He went on many adventures, and traveled to distant lands all from within the confines of his drawing table area. His childhood imagination and art was fueled by early Japanese Animation, Science-Fiction movies, and by classical fairy tales.
As a student, he was recognized by the New York Society of Illustrators in their annual scholarship competition. In 2002 he received his BFA, in Illustration, from the Academy of Arts University in San Francisco.
Since then he has illustrated for clients, such as: Scholastic, Pearson Education, Studio Goodwin Sturges, International Bible Society, Quarasan, and Outdoor Life Magazine.
He also teaches drawing classes at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Currently he resides in Walnut Creek California with his wife Robyn and kids, Rockwell and Trin.
