   Yes, friends, that's our very own dear former DAUSA Vice President and current Adopt-a-Student Project Coordinator, Ms. Candy Canga.
   
   Candy was crowned Ms. APPA 2006 (Association of Philippine Physicians in America.) on August 4, 2006, held at the Marriott Hotel in San Francisco, California, where members of APPA (all-Filipino doctors practicing in the United States) held their 2006 annual gathering.

   Fil-Am doctors of Northern California requested and supported Candy to be the group's candidate, against many others, representing APPA chapters from other regions all over U.S.
   
   A very kind-hearted Danawanon who can't say no to a good cause when needed, Candy accepted the invitation to represent Northern California in the selection of Ms. APPA, after learning that the event is to raise money for the organization's next Medical-Surgical Mission destination which will be in Naga City, Philippines.

   Though born and raised in Danao, daughter of the late Dr. Cristino D. Canga, Jr., Candy is also half-Bicolana.
