   Don's wife, Margaret (Canfield), graduated from Cache La Poudre High School in LaPorte. Her parents were the late Duayne and Lois Canfield, who were well-known residents in LaPorte. Lois taught at CLPE and in 1956 became principal of the new Putnam School.
