It is with great pleasure that Jordan Valley Medical Center nominated Bob Canestrini for the 2005 IASIS Chairman's Award. Bob began his career with our organization at Holy Cross Hospital in 1977 and transferred to Jordan Valley Medical Center as the Director of Facilities Management when the hospital opened in 1983. Bob knows where every nut and bolt is located in our hospital. He has overseen numerous remodeling and expansion projects during his 20+ years at Jordan Valley. We would be lost without his expertise of our facility.
We feel Bob is very deserving of the Chairman's Award. In addition to his hectic schedule at the Hospital, Bob is the Vice President of BACA's Western Utah Chapter.
...
Bob is involved in several BACA fund raising activities throughout the year. He was an integral part of the establishment of the Healing Fields of West Jordan, a project which raises money for the awareness of child abuse. American Flags are sold to area businesses and each flag stands for the loss of a child due to domestic abuse. Hundreds of flags are displayed on the Healing Fields. Bob represented Jordan Valley Medical Center by placing the hospital's flag on the Healing Fields during a ceremony attended by Utah's Governor, John Huntsman and other Utah State dignitaries.
...
Bob spends much of his vacation time and numerous weekends helping to support this worthy cause.
Bob Canestrini is truly one of Jordan Valley Medical Center's loyal and dedicated employees. He is also a great example to all of us of someone who cares about the rights of children. -
