   Ms. Canekeratne is a co-founder of Virtusa and played a pivotal role in building its global operation and operating culture. Tushara was instrumental in crafting Virtusa's initial vision, developing a world-class delivery execution engine, while leading global technical operations and securing and nurturing client engagements. She assumed an advisory role in May 2006 and will continue to advise on key corporate initiatives and client relationships. At Virtusa she served for ten years as Executive Vice President of Global Technical Operations, with world-wide responsibility for delivery of global services and operations.
   
   In 1989, Tushara was a member of the founding team at INSCI Corporation, a document and archival management company. As a key member of the management team, Tushara helped take the company public in 1994. At INSCI, the product developed by Tushara was named ,Product of the Year' in 1997 by the Association of Imaging and Information Management and Imaging Magazine. In the early years she worked with leading Wall Street companies.
   
   In May of 2006, she received the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year 2005 Award from the Women's Chamber of Commerce (WCIC) of Sri Lanka.
   
   Born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Ms. Canekeratne holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from Loughborough University, United Kingdom. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of Fay School, Southborough, MA.

Prior to Virtusa, she was Director of Internet Engineering at INSCI Corp., a leading supplier of digital document repositories and integrated output management products and services. A member of INSCI's founding team, Tushara was responsible for developing a cutting-edge product, 'Coinserve' that was named Product of the Year by the Association of Imaging and Information Management and Imaging Magazine. Tushara holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from Loughborough University (UK).

   Westborough, Mass. - June 19, 2006 -Virtusa Corporation, a global provider of software development and IT services, today announced that its co-founder Tushara Canekeratne has been named "Woman Entrepreneur of the Year 2005 " by the Women's Chamber of Commerce (WCIC) in her native country of Sri Lanka. She also won the gold medal in the Large Business category.
   
   The WCIC was set up in 1985 to promote the special interests of women entrepreneurs with the objective of incorporating them into the mainstream of business activity in Sri Lanka. WCIC Awards are presented once every two years to women entrepreneurs in the large, medium, small and micro business categories. This year's awards have been expanded from five to eight categories to offer opportunities to a wider range of women entrepreneurs to include the Best Innovative Enterprise, Best Business Start-up and Tsunami Turnaround Woman Entrepreneur.
